First, I am so excited by the rebrand name. (Note to self, correct the name on my newsletter referencing you).
"How do we love and care for children in a world being remade by climate change?" The way that parents throughout time loved and cared for their kids, particularly during famine and war. Teach them responsibility (for others and the Earth) and survival skills. And fill them with hope.
Love this article. But, for some reason, I’m unable to see the big question. Instead I get a box stating that ‘this version of the app is not able to display the “pull quote” content that appears here’ 😫. I wonder if anyone else has this message. For reference, I’m viewing it on my Apple phone
Hi Elena, Thanks for letting me know. I'l ask the Substack folks about it. In the meantime, the question is: "How do we love and care for children in a world being remade by climate change?"

I have to admit that something really jarred me in this question. Like yourself I love to question everything. So after a few minutes of thinking I realised what it was.
So here are just few questions that popped up for me in response
- does the way we love and care really changes or should change as human (or natural) history progress (or digress)?
- What is love and care anyway? The interpretation seem to change for sure and there are so many interpretations by now… to me that just doesn’t feel right.
- Does saying that the world is being remade by climate change takes responsibilities away from humanity?
- how do we change consumeristic attitude to nature in ourselves and our children? I just think that ‘climate change’ subject often becomes too big and too overwhelming to deal with.
Just a few initial thoughts on both huge subjects that I also feel very passionate about. Thank you for starting this thread! 🤗
Thanks so much for engaging with it! And I get it on the question containing many other questions, and it's interesting to hear which ones it triggered for you. Also great to connect with someone passionate about the same topics. Cheers and thanks again.

Thanks Lisa. I took a screenshot of it if that’s helpful but not sure how to forward it xx
Thanks! That would be great. Maybe you could DM me on Twitter @LBennett_Writes. Or we could connect on LinkedIn. Appreciate your effort!
I’ve sent you a DM with it on Insta 🙂

Some great questions here, Elena. Particularly "does this take responsibility away from humanity?"
I am having the same thoughts about our advice culture. You put it so succinctly.
Thanks!
